Are you ready to dive into a new adventure and explore the depths of the sea? Our Open Water Diver course offers the perfect introduction to scuba diving, providing you with the skills and confidence to dive safely in any part of the world. Over the course of three days, you’ll experience the thrill of the ocean and the beauty of marine life while learning essential diving techniques.
Day 1: Confined Water Training
Your journey begins at our dive center at 7:30 AM, where you’ll be welcomed by our head instructor, Astro. After completing the registration and health questionnaire, you’ll dive into the theory—literally! Watch the PADI training videos and get fitted with your scuba gear before heading to the pool for your confined water session. Don’t worry if it seems overwhelming at first—we will guide you through each concept, ensuring you understand the safety procedures, equipment use, and what to expect when you’re underwater. This session is all about mastering the basic skills you’ll need underwater, like how to clear your mask, recover your regulator, and control your buoyancy. This first session typically runs half a day, giving you plenty of time to build confidence before hitting the open water.
Days 2 and 3: Open Water Dives
On the second and third days, you’ll head out to the open water. The adventure starts at 7:30 AM when we meet at the dive center, and by 8:00 AM, we’re on the boat heading toward our first dive site. Your first dive lasts between 35-45 minutes, depending on your breathing. After the dive, enjoy a one-hour break on the boat with refreshments, including sandwiches and lemonade.
Once refreshed, we head to the second dive site for another 35-45 minute dive. These dives will give you the chance to practice what you learned in the pool while exploring the vibrant marine life around Taganga. We’ll head back to shore around noon, making it a perfect half-day of diving.
